About the Inter Regionals

The UKPA Inter Regionals will see the five regions of the UKPA take each other on to decide who is the strongest. The competition will be held across various grades to include players of all ages and all abilities.

The Inter Regionals used to take place every year but last took place in 2005 at Suffolk Show Ground and since then has not been held. It always used to be that the regions took it in turn to host it but after 2005 enthusiasm for the competition seemed to flag and they ceased to happen.

The UKPA have decided that they should return this year for numerous reasons; the most important ones being that there seemed to be once again be a desire for them, there was a request from the membership for a longer season and more competitions for them to play in and also because it was thought it would be a good way to strenghten the regional structure of the UKPA and to help people feel like they belonges to something more than just their club.

Further details of the competition and the venue will be announced shortly. The five regions of the UKPA are the North, the South, the East, the Midlands and Wales. Full details of which counties belong in each can be found in the UKPA yearbook, which can be accessed by clicking here
