October News! - Level 1-3 Courses!
Dear UKPA members
I am pleased to inform you that funding has been secured for the UK Certificate in Coaching Levels 1-3
This covers England, Wales and Scotland.
If you are a coach or instructor and you would like to join a course I am now taking names.
Level 2 will be the first to roll out as that is the equivalent of the BHSAI /PTT qualification in terms of Coaching.
So long as I have a group of 6-8 in any location then I will set up a course. This comprises four days and an assessment day following the gathering of evidence from live coaching sessions. We can negotiate how this is achieved once a group has been formed.
Candidates must be 16 years and over and be competent riders.

The UKPA is included in the BEF (British Equestrian Federation) member bodies that can now deliver, assess and accredit the UKCC.
All UKPA members who would like to gain this qualification are invited to apply for a place on a course. Those who hold the UKPA Coaching award will have certain elements fast tracked into the course. However, anyone wishing to gain the UKCC is able to apply.
Eligibility is 16 years and over with experience of good horsemanship and riding skills, playing Polocrosse and coaching.
- The first Level 2 UKCC course will take place in the South West at my training centre near to Bath ( see address below)
- Course dates : Saturday 13th Oct and Sunday 14th October; Saturday 10th November and Sunday 11th November 2007.
Candidates will be expected to carry out some coaching sessions between these weekends.

Next course dates will be published soon for a course to be held in the North West at the Welsh College of Horticulture before Chrsitmas.
North East, Midlands and South East regions will have courses delivered before May 2008.
