Your UKPA Child Protection Officer is Faye Scott - contact details coming soon
The UKPA has now agreed to adopt the BEF Child Protection Policy -as have all the BEF Member Bodies
Lastest Statement from the UKPA: October 2009
“When you are looking for instructors/therapists/natural horse consultants it is essential that you check credentials – such as qualifications and other ‘claims’.
It is not unreasonable to ask for references from other clients, proof of insurance cover, CRB check docs, etc.
Just because someone has a website, or makes claims of competence, doesn’t mean they are reputable.
If they are reputable they will have no issues with your reasonable requests.
Also, wherever possible, it is perhaps wise not to be left in a one-to-one situation, and certainly not leave children alone.”
